Watching Books was created in order to republish the three You and Who books which had previously been available from Miwk Publishing but which had fallen out of print during 2013, as well as to carry on the line with future You and Who books and related volumes.

Our first book was a volume of J.R. Southall's pre-Starburst Magazine essays and reviews (most previously and / or currently available elsewhere on the internet or in fanzines), and this was only a low-key release, basically to test the systems and quality of the processes.

Tales from the Other Side of the Page (a volume of short stories) was set to be released two or three years ago with another publisher, but unfortunately that never happened. So it was probably time to address that and get it out there.

The three You and Who books that had previously been available are all now republished, with the first book including the same text as the original. You and Who Contact Has Been Made Volume One includes two replacement essays in place of ones that were withdrawn at their author's request, and Volume Two is updated to the end of the anniversary year with 16 bonus essays not included in the original edition, comprising about an extra 50 or so pages' worth of material.

You and Who Else is abrand new volume in the You and Who series, following the same sort of format but with essays covering British telefantasy from the 1950s to today, all from the personal perspectives of fans of the programmes.

Hating to Love is a special project taking a look at the history of Doctor Who from an unusual angle, and will include essays by ten writers spanning the entire 50+ years of the series. There will be two follow-up books to Hating to Love; Stitches in Time, in which ten authors look at the most influential Doctor Who stories, and Army of Ghosts, in which ten authors look towards those forgotten stories that are less frequently talked about.
